LEWISTON — Trinity Catholic School is recycling, and is asking the community to support the children and teachers of the school by stopping at the recycling bin located on the Baird Street side of the school.

Items that can be dropped off at the bin are old newspapers, catalogs, magazines and phone books. There is also a returnables chute located on the brown shed attached to the elementary building, for glass, plastic and cans and bottles purchased in Maine.

The school is also collecting used ink jet, laser cartridges and old cell phones, which can be dropped off in the front lobbies of either the Elementary or Junior High Schools. Drink pouches, Nabisco cookie wrappers and corks, synthetic or natural, can be dropped in the collection bags located in the lobbies.

Aluminum tabs from soda cans can be placed in a plastic bag and also dropped off at either school office. “Box Tops for Education” coupons can also be brought to the school.
