LEEDS — The 24th annual Warren family reunion was held on July 19 at the home of Rick and Belinda Peabody. The gathering included the families of the late F. Milton and Verlie Warren.

One hundred and seventy-eight people attended from Buckfield, Hebron, Monmouth, Turner, Leeds, Greene, Auburn, Lisbon Falls, Jay, Gorham, South Berwick, South Portland, Limerick, Gardiner, Sumner, Buxton, Livermore, Winthrop, South Paris, Sabattus, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Idaho.

Traveling the farthest distance were Joe, Brent, Ashley, Brooke and Jack from Brockton, Mass., along with Ashley’s parents from Idaho. The youngest member present was Ava Christine, born on March 11 to Sheila Hinkley and Jesse Twitchell; eldest, Walter Warren.

There was one wedding, 10 births, three adoptions, three high school graduates, four college graduates and two masters degrees reported during the year. Beryl and Bob Robinson celebrated 60 years of marriage and Polly and Dick Jones celebrated 50 years of marriage. Games for the children were organized by Terri Warren.

The officers are Rick Jones, president; Anna Morneau, vice-president;  Kathy Additon, treasurer; and Jacky Meggison, secretary. After a brief business meeting, the program was led with readings by Walter Warren and Marie Allen. Brent Warren, Riley Zutter and Scott Wheeler performed a skit. Joel Warren sang “Proud to be an American” by Lee Greenwood. Total membership is 373.

Errol Additon auctioned of items to cover expenses including the Warren reunion quilt made by Geraldine Jewell, a braided rug made by Esther Robinson and a picnic table made by Rick Peabody.

Next year’s reunion will be held at Hebron Pines RV and Golf Course on July 18.
