BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band will present its end-of-summer concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Gould Academy Auditorium.

Several young people from Telstar and Gould Academy are joining the group for the final concert of the season. Because of the added number of players, the last concert will be held at Gould. They will perform themes from “Harry Potter,” “Ashokan Farewell,” “Cool Blues for Trombone,” “ET,” “Under the Sea,” “Voyager,” and other favorites.

A quartet of clarinets also will play.

Refreshments will be served after the concert. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Anyone interested in bringing a musical instrument is welcome to attend the band’s practice. The band encourages all abilities in the goal of promoting music in the community. Rehearsals for the fall will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in the basement of the West Parish Congregational Church.
