Lorraine Y. Pepin
1938 – 2009

PORTLAND — Lorraine Y. (St. Laurent) Pepin, 71, of Lewiston and South Pasadena, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Maine Medical Center, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Pepin, who died March 27.

She was born in Lewiston, June 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Albert and Germaine (Verville) St. Laurent. She attended local area schools and was a member of the 1956 graduating class of Edward Little High School in Auburn.

She worked as a sales supervisor for Bell Manufacturing in Lewiston for 35 years, before retiring in 1996. She was a lifelong resident of Lewiston and spent her summers at Old Orchard Beach and her winters in South Pasadena, Fla. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Lewiston.

She loved the ocean and the simple pleasure of a walk on the beach. Her family always took precedent over everything. She loved her family life, adored her grandchildren and was always the one in charge of the cooking at all the family gatherings. Most of all, she will be remembered for her positive outlook on life.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her including her two daughters, Paula L. Tantillo and her husband, Steven, of Greene and Lisa M. Turgeon and her husband, Denis, of Longwood, Fla.; her five grandchildren, Aimee and Anthony Tantillo of Greene, Jessica Turgeon of Portland, Alexandra Turgeon of Swansea, Mass., and Brittany Turgeon of Longwood, Fla.; as well as her brother, Norman St. Laurent and his wife, Cathy, of Lawrence, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond St. Laurent in 2004.
