Madeleine I. Gagnon
1934 – 2009
AUBURN — Madeleine I. Gagnon after a week long journey went to be with the Lord with her family by her side at the Hospice House on Aug. 10.
The daughter of Germaine and Arthur Morel, she was born Dec. 14, 1934. She married Rene Gagnon in Berlin, N.H., on Oct. 3, 1953. She was widowed in January 1980.
She is survived by her five children, Robert Gagnon and his wife, Donna, of Livermore, Anne Mackenzie and her husband, Alexander, of Lisbon, Rodney Gagnon and his wife, Pauline, of Lewiston, Simonne Gagnon Pelletier and her husband, Russell, of Litchfield and Richard Gagnon and his companian, Stacey, of Lewiston; her beloved grandchildren, Michele Mackenzie, Shawn and Jason Gagnon, Jennifer Raymond, Christine Tetrault, Stacey Emery and Thomas Gagnon; her nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jeanne d’arc Roy, Doris Henry, Simonne Morel and Sister Lucille Morel; two brothers, Lucien and Maurice Morel.
She was predeased by many brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of St. Mary’s ICU, the
most compassionate staff of the Hospice House and Dr. Roger Austin.
