NORTH TURNER — The Bear Pond Improvement Association members have been collecting household and electronic items for their annual yard sale to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Bear Pond Village, Route 219.

The yard sale will benefit the Bear Pond Protection Fund, which enables the association to monitor the pond for water quality, erosion concerns and any other threat to the natural ecosystem of the pond.

Bear Pond residents are invited to set up their items for sale in the area near the green house and shed at Bear Pond Village between 8 and 9 a.m. In case of rain, the sale will relocate to the Boofy Quimby Hall, Route 219. A lunch of a hot dog, chips and a beverage will be available for $3 and snacks and drinks will also be for sale.
