LEWISTON — The Stanton Bird Club will lead a guided bird walk on Saturday, Aug. 15, at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The walk will be led by Stan and Joan DeOrsey, who will identify and comment on birds seen or heard. Walks are free and open to the public.

At this time of year, walkers can expect to see post-breeding flocks. Participants on last year’s trip to this location spotted eastern kingbirds, a towhee and several varieties of warblers.

Those interested should meet at 7 a.m. at the parking lot at the Promenade Mall, 855 Lisbon St., in front of Staples. The group will be at the walk site at Deer Road, behind the mausoleum, at approximately 7:20 a.m.

Walks will end by 11 a.m., but participants may leave early.
