Thomas H. Huston
1927 – 2009
BRUNSWICK — Thomas H. Huston of Lisbon Falls, died Aug. 10.
He was born in Lisbon Falls, July 21, 1927, the son of Carroll B. and Florence (Pelley) Huston. He attended schools in Lisbon Falls until he joined the Navy on Dec. 18, 1944. He served in Ron 4 P.T. Boats.
On March 9, 1945, he married Marion Carll of Durham. They lived in Durham, where they spent 64 years together. They had two children. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he built homes with Ned Coffin in Brunswick. In 1947, he went to work at the U.S. Gypsum in Lisbon Falls after which it became International Paper, where he spent 42 years.
He leaves behind his widow, Marion Huston; one son, John of Acton; brothers, Carroll of Lewiston, George, Donald and Norman of Lisbon Falls and John Huston of Bowdoinham; sisters, Gwendolyn Stebbins and Donna Pelkey of Lisbon Falls and Linda Pulk of Litchfield; grandchildren, Chenston Chenard of Lewiston, Shane and Michelle Huston of Acton and Terrance Kirk of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Huston in 2006.
