Noella I. Elie
1916 – 2009

BRIDGTON — Noella I. Elie, 92, formerly of 70 Blake Street Towers, Lewiston, died Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Bridgton Health Care Center.

She was born in St. Paul de la Croix, P.Q., Canada, Nov. 4, 1916, a daughter of Joseph and Euphemie Thibault Lepage. She was educated in Livermore Falls schools and worked in the shoe industry in Jay and Lewiston, retiring from Norwalk Shoe Co. in 1983.

She  was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Lewiston and St. Rose of Lima Parish in Livermore. She was married to Fernando Collins, who died in 1963. She later married Albert Elie, who died in 1988. She enjoyed going to eat and playing beano. She loved being with her family. She will be remembered for kind and generous spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Corkum and husband, Dale, of Clearwater, Fla.; her son, Lawrence (Larry) Collins of Manchester; her grandchildren, Judy Corkum, Barry Corkum, Pete and Laurie Ewing and Jenny Collins Fournier and husband, Jason Fournier; her great-grandchildren, Danielle and Caleb Ewing and Brandon Corkum; and her sisters, Yvette Chretien and Lorette Dennis.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Collins; and a grandson, Christopher Collins.
