The two-week Rumford Baptist Church Vacation Bible School ends on Friday with a special program by students  for their parents. On Thursday, about a dozen children ages 4-12 were creating picture frames for photos of themselves. During the past two weeks, they’ve made treasure chests for Bible verses and other crafts, sung, played games and learned about the Bible. They were also told about the church’s sponsorship of several Haitian children, said Clemma Nichols, co-coordinator for this year’s program. Shown are Ty Howard and Cameron Bouchard, both 10 and from Rumford; Bible school helper Molly Murphy; and Alexa Varnum, 8, from Dixfield. The theme this years is Our Awesome God.
