FARMINGTON — Public memorial services for Elizabeth S. Marks of Industry were held Aug. 9 from Old South Congregational Church, Main Street, Farmington, with the Rev. Catherine Richman Wallace officiating. Church ushers were Arthur Perry and Craig Jordan. Patricia Hayden was the organist and soloists were Darlene Moore who sang “Bless This House,” and Alan Shumway who sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” Her grandchildren, Kristen E. Marks and Joshua O. Marks gave personal eulegies. Letters from her children, Dianne Marks Griggs and Kenneth I. Marks; and reflections from her sister, Ruth Pike, were shared with the congregation. After services, a family reception was held in the church vestry hosted by the church fellowship. Private family committal services were held Aug. 10 at Sea Side Cemetery, Blue Hill. In lieu of flowers, remembrance gifts were given in her memory to The Pierce House, 204 Main St., Farmington, ME 04938. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center: Cremation Service and Funeral Home.
