Lawrence E. LaPlante

1958 – 2009

LEWISTON – Lawrence E. “Larry” LaPlante, 51, of the Hyde Road, Jay,
died early Saturday morning at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.


He was born in Farmington, Feb. 17, 1958, a son of Alfred and Louisa
(Stevens) LaPlante and received his education in Farmington schools
graduating from Mt. Blue High School in 1976. Shortly after his
graduation, he entered the U. S. Army where he served over 15 
years.

He was employed as a mechanic and supervisor at Forster Mfg.
Co., Inc. for many years. On Feb. 14, 1994, he married Linda Guianen
and
she died June 5, 2008.

Mr. LaPlante enjoyed camping, fishing, working
on puzzles and was known for having great mechanical abilities working
on all sorts of different types of machinery.

He is survived by a brother, Herbert Stevens of
Chesterville; sisters, Barbara Litalien and her husband, Rene, of Jay and
Roxanne Archer and her husband, Doug, of West New Portland; stepchildren,
Paige Berry and her husband, Carl, and their children, Seth and Eric of
Weld, Shane Jones and his wife, Nancy, and their children, Devon and Sam
of Farmington, and Erik Verrill and his wife, Michelle, and their
daughter, Makenna, of Minot; nieces, Bethanie, Jessica, Amy, Darcy and
Tamara; and nephew, Brian.
