Arrests/summonses

Aug. 7 at 11:22 p.m., Laura Waugh, 27, of West Paris was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of domestic violence
assault. Waugh posted
$600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District
Court on Sept. 8.

Aug. 8 at 10:03 p.m., John Daudelin, 43, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Ian Theriault on a
warrant for failure to
pay fines. Daudelin
was unable to post bail and was taken to Oxford County
Jail. Court date is unknown.

Aug. 8 at 10:20 p.m., Leander Murphy, 32, of Dixfield was summoned by Patrolman Scott Landis
on a charge of illegal possession
of marijuana. No
court date listed.

Aug. 8 at 11:38 p.m., Aaron Jackson, 24, of Rumford was summoned by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of possession of a scheduled drug.
Jackson is to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept.
8.

Jessie Merrill, 23, of Peru was summoned by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of illegal possession of
marijuana. Merrill is
to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 8.

Aug. 8 at 11:38 p.m., Albert Cyr Jr., 44, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Scott Landis on charges of operating under the
influence and
violation conditions
of release. Cyr
wasn’t permitted to post bail and was transported to the Oxford
County Jail. Cyr is to appear in Rumford District Court on
Oct. 6.

Aug. 8 at 11:38 p.m., Scott Hargreaves, 42, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Scott Landis on a charge of violation conditions
of release.
Hargreaves wasn’t permitted to post bail and was taken to the
Oxford County Jail. Cyr is scheduled to appear in Rumford District
Court on Sept. 8.

Aug. 9 at 9:15 p.m., James Jennings, 37, of Mexico was summoned by Patrolman Ian Theriault on a charge of assault.
Jennings is to appear in Rumford District Court on
Sept. 8.

Timothy Scott, 39, of Bethel was arrested by Patrolman Michael Belanger on
a warrant for violation
conditions of release and
violation of a protection order.
Scott was turned over to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.

Darrell Houston, 46, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Lawrence Winson
on a warrant for failure to comply with court order-alimony payment.
Houston was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford
County Jail. Court date is unknown.

Jeremy Abbott, 30, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a
warrant for failure to
pay fines. Abbott was
unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford County Jail.

Aug. 12 at 9:56 p.m., Thomas Sheran, 45, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was summoned by Cpl. Matthew
Noyes on a charge of operating
under the influence after
a personal injury crash. Sheran is scheduled to appear in Rumford
District Court on Nov. 3.

Aug.13 at 12:02 p.m.,
Tausha Ellis, 28, of Farmington was arrested by Patrolman Ian Theriault on
a warrant for failure
to pay fines. Ellis
was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford County
Jail. Court date is unknown.

John Hansen, 22, of Rumford is charged by Patrolman Lawrence Winson
with theft.
Hansen is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct.

violation conditions
of release. Belskis
is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 6.

Shane Hatfield, 20, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Scott Mills on a
warrant for failure to
pay fines for an assault.
Hatfield was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford
County Jail. Court date is  unknown.

Aug. 14 at 3:40 a.m.,
Lisa Dayon, 40, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on a charge of operating under the
influence and
assault.
Dayon was unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford
County Jail. Dayon later posted $300 unsecured bail and is scheduled
to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.

Aug. 15 at 1:37 a.m.,
Shawn E. Gardner, 36, of Rumford was arrested by Ptl. Lawrence Winson
on a charge of disorderly conduct
and obstructing a
public way. Gardner,
who was also summoned on another charge of disorderly conduct, was
unable to post bail and was taken to the Oxford County Jail.
He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct 6.

Mary Jones, 35, of Rumford was summoned by Patrolman Lawrence Winson on a charge of operating under the
influence. Jones is
scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.

Aug. 15 at 6:38 a.m., Joseph Downs, 55, of Rumford was summoned by Patrolman Ian Theriault on a charge of criminal mischief .
Jones is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 6.

Terra Tidswell, 34, of Rumford was arrested by Ian Theriault on charges of possession of a
scheduled drug,
possession of drug
paraphernalia and
violation conditions
of release. Tidswell
wasn’t permitted to post bail, was taken to the Oxford County
Jail. She is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct.
6.

Crash

Aug. 12 at 9:56 p.m.,
Thomas Sheran, 45, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was operating his 2004 Yamaha
motorcycle west on Route 2 when he struck a green 1994 Ford
Explorer, operated by Derek Hoyt, 26, of Rumford. Hoyt was attempting
to turn left into McDonald’s. Sheran, who was wearing a helmet,
sustained injuries to his arm and head. There was $2,500 damage
to the motorcycle; $4,000 to the Ford. Sheran was charged with operating under the influence and taken to Central Maine
Medical Center in Lewiston.

Criminal mischief

Aug. 8 at 9:39 a.m., Mexico
resident reported approximately $1,300 damage to the side of his
vehicle while parked on Rumford Avenue. Case under investigation.

Aug. 14 at 12:09 p.m., York
Street resident reported approximately $100 damage to the rear
window of his vehicle. Case under investigation.

Theft

Aug. 10 at 2:51 p.m., Patrol
officer observed a speed limit sign missing from the South
Rumford Road. Case under investigation.

Aug. 12 at 7:20 a.m., Plymouth
Avenue resident reported someone entered her vehicle and
papers were missing. Case is under investigation.

Aug. 12 at 7:22 a.m., Route 2 establishment reported a $20 gas drive off. Case under investigation.

Aug. 12 at 7:45 a.m., Patrol officer reported someone had entered a vehicle and stolen an owner’s manual. Case is under investigation.
