WILTON — The 83rd Cox family reunion was held on Aug. 8 at Kineowatha Park with 22 members present. A potluck lunch was served buffet style, with Helen Seaward offering the blessing.
The family meeting was conducted after lunch and the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and accepted by the group. A moment of silence was observed for a deceased member, Frank E. Cox of East Livermore.
Attendee awards were given as follows: eldest woman, Maxine Palmer of Dixfield; eldest man, Keith Bachelder of Edgecomb; youngest, Shay Madison of Southampton, Mass.; longest travel distance, Peggy Moreau from Albuquerque, N.M.
After the lunch and meeting, there was an auction of donated items, which generated $70. Next year’s meeting will be held on Aug. 14 at Kineowatha Park.
