BETHEL — The eighth annual Telstar Car Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, on the fields of Telstar High School, Route 26.

Telstar students will greet and collect admission for those wishing to enter their vehicle in the judging and for spectators. Admission is $5 for the vehicle and one passenger, and general admission for spectators is $2 for adults and $1 for students. Proceeds will benefit the Telstar student activity funds.

More than 21 classes of vehicles will be judged by the spectators, with first, second and third being awarded trophies at the end of the show. There will be food, music and raffles.

The vehicles are invited to join in a parade through Bethel village at 2 p.m. and also on a 40-mile scenic ride from Bethel to Rumford Point, to Bryant Pond village, then back to Bethel. Everyone is invited to the Rooster’s Roadhouse for light refreshments, horseshoes and fun starting at 3 p.m.

For more information, contact the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce office at 824-2282. There is no preregistration of vehicles. In case of rain, the show will be postponed to Sunday, Aug. 16.
