WILTON — The East Wilton Union Church will host Greater Purpose on Sunday, Aug. 9, as part of its “Concerts on the Lawn” series. The public is invited.

Greater Purpose is a Christian band formed to celebrate Christ’s life
through song. Their songs are scriptural but are written based on the
members’ lives, are from the heart and are meant to minister to
others. The sound of Greater Purpose is influenced from such greats as
John Denver, Sandi Patty, Dan Fogelberg and the Gaithers.

The concerts are held each Sunday evening in August and begin at 6 p.m. Chairs are provided but people are welcome to bring lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside. Light refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow each concert.

The concerts are free, but there will be an opportunity for a free-will offering. For more information about the series, call 645-4297.
