LINCOLN, Maine (AP) – The death of a truck driver whose body was found near his tractor-trailer rig in Lincoln, Maine, is described by police as suspicious.

Police Chief William Flagg told the Bangor Daily News that the man’s body was discovered at about 3 a.m. Thursday near the 18-wheeler, which was in a parking lot between Mechanic and Lake streets.

Flagg would not say whether investigators believe the man’s death is a homicide or if anybody was in custody.

After the body was discovered, police cordoned off an entire block in the town, located about 45 miles north of Bangor.

Flagg did not release the identity of the victim. The truck had Tennessee license plates and its door said Jeff Nelson Trucking, Mountain City, Tenn.
