The Police Department has received grants to buy two laptops at $4,500 each, surveillance equipment for about $5,000, and radar equipment for $1,400, Police Chief Larry White Sr. said. Fire-Rescue Chief Scott Shink reported the department has received a $1,400 grant for communications, Marden said. And the Sewer Department received a grant for $10,000 for septic systems.
