LEWISTON – The Maine Table Tennis League will officially begin its 14th season Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Avenue. Entrance is at the rear of the building, near the baseball field. The league invites all players, old and new and of all playing abilities. Dues are $40 for adults and $30 for players 12 and under and are due at the time of registration.
The season runs from September to May, but practice time is available throughout the year. League play is on Monday evenings, with practice times Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The league is the only one of its kind in Maine and is sanctioned by USA Table Tennis.
The League plays on 9 professional tables and supplies balls for
play, and also offers instructions by a table tennis instructor. A
Robot is also available for members to practice by themselves.

The
only request is that players change shoes before playing, meaning they
should bring an extra pair of sneakers to change into, to alleviate
damaging the painted floor and not track in grime, dirt or small
pebbles.

For those needing paddles or supplies, the League has them available at discount prices.
