Laurie Henson
1957 – 2009

ROXBURY — Laurie Henson of Roxbury, passed away on Aug. 25.

She was born Sept. 1, 1957 to Romeo and Lorene McKenna Thibodeau. She graduated from Mexico High School, Class of 1976. She later became a certified nursing assistant at d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home for more than 30 years. She then moved to Roxbury Pond and did home health care.

She loved hanging out with family and friends. She was a little spitfire with a heart of gold, who would be the first to give out a compliment; that was the caregiver in her. Her son, Carl, was her morning, noon and night. She looked forward to their daily talks. She will be sadly missed by all that loved her.

She is survived by her son, Carl Henson of Lewiston; stepdaughter, Heather Finnegan of West Peru (children of Kirk Henson); long-time companion, Jimmy Thompson of Roxbury; two brothers, Victor and Theresa Thibodeau of Roxbury and Sidney and Kathy Thibodeau of Nottingham, N.H.; and three sisters, Rosemary and Eugene Martineau of Dunnellon, Fla., Angela and Michael Matthews of Rumford and Denise and Larry Francis of Mexico.

She was predeceased by her parents; a grandniece, Jolene Martineau; and a nephew, Ronald Perry.

Special thanks go out to Dr. Bisbol and St. Mary’s Hospital. Thank you
so very much for all of your help and compassion, we all are truly
forever grateful. Also, thank-you to all of her friends and co-workers
who help us get through this difficult time. We appreciate you all.
