Dear Sun Spots: I have two twin beds to sell. I know Helios on outer
Center Street has closed. Is there any other shop like that than can take
these and sell them for me? — Judy, Turner.

Answer: Contact the Turner Trading Post for more information on
selling your furniture on consignment. The owner, Ron, said you can
call or stop by to talk with him about the beds. Business hours are 9
a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. It is located on 55 Auburn Road, Route 4 in Turner, in the same area as the

Dear Sun Spots: This is a message for the man who purchased a snow blower at the lawn sale on Hogan Road on Aug. 15. I have the instructions and parts list book if he wants it. Please call 783-9355 to make connections to pick it up. Thank you. — No Name, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: My daughter is doing a research paper on the Livermore Shoe Co. or Bennett Industries. We are interested in hearing from any employees and their stories. Also, there were some company newsletters from Livermore Shoe; if anyone has any of these, I would be happy to pay postage for those. Contact Joanne Mitchell, 854 Boothby Road, Livermore, ME 04253 or call 897-6909. Thank you so much for the good work that you do. I look forward to Sun Spots every day. — Joanne, Livermore.

Dear Sun Spots: I am writing for some help to understand this new digital TV reception of the June 12 conversion.

We are totally discouraged, we cannot any longer get our favorite station, WCSH. We have tried everything from new antenna positioning, cutting branches from trees. We still get only 13 bars of reception and not always. Most of the time when we get it, it is a short lived, an hour or sometimes less.

Sometimes it comes in beautifully at 3 or 4 in the morning. We have contacted the general manager of the station in July, but no response yet.

Is channel 6 still trying to get better or is this it from them? We miss the news, “207,” and Bill Green.

We don’t understand even though other station towers are further from us, we get up to 48 bars of reception. What can we do? — R.L. Monmouth.

Answer: Those who may be having difficulty receiving WCSH may visit the Web site, www.wcsh6.com for some tips on how to possibly fix the problem. Click on the digital television transition link on the right column of the home page. For those who can’t access the site, the local hotline phone number is 1-800-464-1213, ext. 675.

Dear Sun Spots: I have a crib with mattress, a dressing table, a stroller and baby and young child’s toys I would like to donate to a good cause. All are in good condition. Perhaps a shelter or someone in need can use these items. They would need to be picked up. I can be reached at 375-5040. Thank you. — No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for someone in the area to give a true and fair appraisal of antiques. Old violins, autographed picture of Sonia Henie, old books, etc. I am not selling, but would like to know the value. Thank you. — No Name, Bethel.
