DIXFIELD — The Dirigo Middle School eighth-grade class is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner and outdoor street dance on Saturday, Aug. 15, to raise money for their class trip. The events will be held at the school at 45 Middle School Drive. The dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and dancing to DJ “Rockin” Ben Bridges will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
Dinner will include spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and drinks. The cost is $5 a person or $20 a family of up to six people. All are invited to attend the event, to take place rain or shine.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and a separate raffle for two tickets for third-row seats at the American Idol concert on Sept. 12 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland.
On Sunday, Aug. 16, the eighth-grade class will sponsor two tables at the annual Dixfield Flea Market. Donated items and baked goods can be dropped off at the dinner and dance or brought to the tables on Main Street the morning of the sale.
