AUBURN – Milton H. Chapman, 102, formerly of 65 E. Bates St., and Clover Living Center where he resided, passed away Sunday at the Hospice House after a great long life.
He was born in Chesterville on Aug. 9, 1907, the son of Cyrus M. and Alice M. (Southard) Chapman. Mr. Chapman married Lillian J. Acheson on Nov. 29, 1934, in Lewiston.
For most of his adult life, he was a plumber and pipe fitter, and for many years was a member of United Association Local 783 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters.
Survivors include one son, Robert H. Chapman, and his wife, Margaret, of Dunedin, Fla.; grandchildren, Keane H. Chapman and his wife, Kelly, of Spring Hill, Fla.; Kara C. O’Neil and her husband, Dennis, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Reagan Chapman, Alexandra Chapman, Ashley O’Neil and Austin O’Neil.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian; two brothers, Vernon of Pittsfield and Stephen of Benton; two sisters, Marion of Bucksport and Gladys of Pittsfield.
