This oriental lily was planted at the gravesite of Sgt. Corey Dan in 2006 by his mother, Wanda Kilgore of Norway. In three years the lily has reached a height of more than 7 feet and is loaded with flowers. Kilgore is pictured with the flower. Sgt. Dan was killed in action in Ramadi, Iraq, in March of 2006 and the lily was planted that summer as a tribute to him. No special fertilizers or plant food has been used.
