Promising newcomers: Boys: Seniors — Sam Crawford, David Kananowitz; Juniors — Zeke Merrill, Henry Talbot; Sophomore — Matt McInnis; Girls: Freshman — Miranda Allen.
Outlook: The Mustangs should be among the elite in the MVC again. The boys follow up a shocking run to the Class C title with four of their top seven runners returning. McInnis and Desmond both finished in the top 10 at states last year. The girls, who finished second in the state and the conference in 2008, currently have only four healthy runners, so filling the roster is the first priority.
