Key losses: Lauren Lepage, Meagan Maifeld, Katie Doucette, Kiley Clement, Shainna Mills, Kadie Yahn, Emily Child.
Promising newcomers: Senior — Sarah Nicols (F); Sophomores — Chelsea Bourdeau (F), Makayla White (MF), Whitney Ruff (MF).
Outlook: After a stellar season in 2008, the Falcons are going to have to gel quickly to have any chance in a tough, tough division of the MVC this season. Seven vets are gone from last year’s group, but the coaches are doing well to shore up the back end with returning vets, anchored by Gallant, who was the starting goalie as a freshman last season. If the young front line can find a scoring touch by the end of the season, the Falcons are once again going to be a team to be reckoned with.
