Robert E. Glines

SOUTH PARIS – Robert E. Glines, of Norway, died Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Market Square Health Care Center.
He was born in Norway the son of Edwin and Emma Dunham Glines. He attended Norway schools and had owned and operated the Esso (later Exxon) gas business on the corner of Main and Fair Streets in Norway for 36 years.
He enjoyed music. He played the saxophone in several bands and was the band leader for Blue Notes.
Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and was especially fond of all animals. He married Beverly Smith on June 19, 1955.
He is survived by his wife of Norway; two daughters, Lori McDaniels of Skowhegan and Jaci Presby of West Paris; five grandchildren, Ryan Edwin Lorrain, Nick McDaniels, Luke McDaniels, Shania Jean Presby and Shannon Merritt; a brother, Merle Glines of South Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Donald; and a sister Nellie Whyte.
