AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union Garden Club will meet for a trip to the Pineland Garden Center in New Gloucester on Thursday, Sept. 17. Members are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the clubhouse, 19 Elm. St., to carpool. A tour of the gardens will be topped off with lunch in the Pineland Café.

The club meets at 2 p.m. the third Thursday of each month with the following programs planned: Oct. 15, “All About Bees: What is Happening to the Bees,” presented by Roy Cronkhite; Nov. 19, “Gardening,” presented by Jody Goodwin, gardening columnist for the Sun Journal; Feb. 18, “Chase Away the Winter Blues,” presented by Blais Flowers and Garden Center; March 18, “A Journey Through the English Countryside,” presented by Mark Eustis; April 15, annual herb luncheon. Refreshments are served and the public is always welcome to the monthly meetings.

Officers for the 2009-10 year are: Melanie Ness, president; Kirsten Larsson-Turley, treasurer; and Cathy Westleigh, publicity.
