BANGOR (AP) — Penn National Gaming says the general manager at its Bangor casino is leaving Maine to manage another of its casinos in Illinois.

Jon Johnson has served as general manager of Hollywood Slots since it first opened in 2005. He will stay in his current job until Sept. 28 before reporting for his new job at the Empress Casino Hotel in Joliet, Ill.

The Bangor Daily News says Assistant General Manager Steve Lambert will take over at Hollywood Slots until a new general manager is named.

Penn National owns and operates casinos and race tracks in 14 states and in Ontario.
