Dear Sun Spots: The What Not Shop in Rumford sells secondhand clothing, jewelry and small household items. The proceeds benefit the Adult Activity Center Day Program at Hope Association, a nonprofit agency that serves the developmentally disabled. We are in need of a display case such as you see in a jewelry store. The size we need is eight feet long by 32-36 inches wide and normal height.

If anyone has one to donate or sell at a low price, could you please contact Wendy Pelletier or Andy Beauchesne at 364-4561, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Thanks, Sun Spots, you’re a great resource. — Andra, Rumford

Dear Sun Spots: Deborah Ann left a bundle of towels on my steps a few weeks ago. I’d like her to pick them up. It was very nice of her, but I do not need them. She can get them any Monday or Tuesday from 8 to 10 a.m. I’ll leave them where she left them. Thank you. — No Name, No Town

Answer: If Deborah Ann doesn’t retrieve those towels and they are in good condition, you might consider donating them to a local charity. If they are worn, the local humane society can use them for washing and bedding the homeless animals.

Dear Sun Spots: On Dec. 5, the Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanic Falls will be having its annual Christmas craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., including a light luncheon available for purchase. We are looking for crafters who would like to sell their products to our friends. If you would like to rent a table, the cost is $15 per table or $25 for two. Josie Herbert at 345-3274 will be taking reservations for the tables. We hope you will decide to be a part of our event. We will also have a bake sale table. All the proceeds from the craft rentals and the bake sale will be used to support the free annual Easter dinner served to people who would otherwise be alone on that most special of days. If you need further information, please call Kathy at 577-7518 or Josie at 345-3274. — Kathy, Oxford
