Pastor Joe Mallozzi of Lewiston answers questions about his 1951 Ford Victoria Lead Sled at Maine Oxy in Auburn on Friday. Mallozzi’s chopped street rod is one of many classic cars that will be displayed at Saturday’s fourth annual New England School of Metalwork Car Show. Maine Oxy’s mobile welding training facility and the metalwork school will be open to visitors during the show, which begins at 7:30 a.m. Festivities will wind down following the presentation of awards for winning autos at 1 p.m. All proceeds will be given to the Pine Tree Society, which serves the disabled. Mallozzi, the pastor at Auburn Baptist Church, bought the car three years ago and named it “Betty Lou” in memory of his wife. Pictured behind Mallozzi are James Richards of Maine Oxy, second from left, welding instructor Ron Guimond and Bob Smith of Maine Oxy.
