AUBURN — Comedian Tim McIntire, whose latest CD is “Scatterbrain,” will return to the Fireside Inn & Suites on Saturday, Oct. 10. He will appear with Amy Tee and Derek Gerry.

McIntire has been one of the most prolific comics in Boston for nearly a decade. After starting his career in Colorado, he honed his act, he said, “on the road, working every comedy club, roadhouse and speakeasy between California and Pennsylvania.”

He has released two comedy CDs, written for Nickelodeon (“Fairly Oddparents”), been featured on National Public Radio, performed at comedy festivals in Boston and Chicago, and appeared on TV on “Comcast Comedy Spotlight.”

The Boston Herald has called him “a breakout comic to watch.”  In 2008, he launched a new venture, opening Mottley’s Comedy Club in Boston.

Like McIntire, Tee is one of the busiest comedians on the New England scene, working both the mainstream and alternative comedy circuit. She was featured in the performance film “Laughing Matters: Next Gen” and toured with other comedians in small theaters and clubs on both coasts. Her takes on life as a “lesbian in the mainstream” are delivered with a quiet style that belies the edgy content. She is a regular performer at the Boston Comedy Festival, and audio clips of her performances there have been played on XM Satellite Radio.

Gerry has shared his sardonic, intelligent view of life’s absurdities with comedy audiences from around New England as well as with radio audiences as co-host of the issues-oriented “The Whole Truth” on Boston-area station WMFO (91.5 FM, WMFO.org).

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for dinner and show, $14 for show-only ($12 with a reservation). Doors open at 7:30 p.m. For reservations, call 777-1777. The Fireside Inn is at 1777 Washington St., at Maine Turnpike Exit 75.
