LEWISTON — George N. Pelletier, 79, of Spring St., Lewiston, died Sunday morning at his home.
He was born in Wallagrass on June 20, 1930, the son of Victor and Agnes Doucette Pelletier. He attended school in Lewiston and faithfully served his country in the Marines.
He operated two gas stations in Lewiston before owning Norms Garage in Lisbon, M & P Salvage in Minot, and Friendly Auto Sales in Mechanic Falls. He was a 43-year member of American Legion Post #150 in Mechanic Falls. He enjoyed his camp, boating, and in earlier years, the Oxford Plains Speedway.
Survivors include his life partner Patricia Field of Lewiston; a daughter, Kathleen McManus of Lewiston and her fiancee, Michael Kuroly; two granddaughters, Brianna and Alicia McManus of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Ludger, Patrick, Emile and Louis; and sisters, Gertrude, Laura, Freda, Exzelia,Corrina and Anita.
