Venise T. Lesperance
1961 – 2009

AUGUSTA — Venise T. Lesperance, 48, of Brooklawn Avenue, died Oct. 21, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 19, 1961, the daughter of Gaston “Gus” Lesperance and Ida (Dutremble) Lesperance. She was educated in Lewiston until grade six. She then was educated in Augusta schools, graduating from Cony High School in 1979. She also attended school for flight attendants and tourism in Kissimmee, Fla.

She was employed in Florida at Big Red Bus Line until 1985. She then moved to the Augusta area and worked for Maine State Credit Union until just recently. She began as a teller at Maine State Credit Union and later worked processing credit cards. Most recently she was senior loan officer.

She was dedicated to her family. She was addicted to soap operas and loved to play cards, especially with her parents on Sunday nights.

Surviving are her parents, Gaston “Gus” Lesperance and Ida (Dutremble) Lesperance of Augusta; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Diane and Monique Lesperance and a brother, Robert Lesperance.

She was close to Pat, Louise, Allison and Marc. The family appreciates all the love, devotion and support that they gave Venise during the last year of her life. Also, appreciation to two classmates, Debbie and Liz, who were with her to the end.
