PORTLAND — Mari-Ellen Thomas Davis, 38, of South Paris, died Saturday, Oct. 24, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec, 9, 1970, to Robert and Sandra (Sessions) Thomas. She was a graduate of Oxford Hills High School in 1990 and attended Maine Job Corps in Maine and Ohio.

Mari was employed at telephone call centers. She was a hard worker and successfully provided a home for her family. She loved doing plastic canvas projects. She was a NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. She enjoyed taking her children shopping and to the library. During her illness she faithfully continued to teach her children Bible stories each Sunday and reading to them at home. She liked country style music. She also loved spending time with her dog, Snowflake.

Mari is survived by her children, Abby Mae Dalzell and Robert Duane Dalzell, both of South Paris; her parents, Robert L. Thomas and Sandra L. (Sessions) Thomas of Norway; her sister, Brenda-Le Thomas of Norway; brother, Peter Thomas of Norway; her fiancé, Greg Murphy, an EMT and firefighter of Portland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins across the United States.

Mari was predeceased by her children, Raymond, Patty, Roland and Danny of Oxford; uncles, Larry Sessions of South Paris, Roland Thomas of Otisfield, Francis Weeks of Norway, and Merle Moody of Waterford; aunts, Beverly Gonyer Gauthier, and Roberta Nickerson of Norway; cousin, Frank Hill; grandmother, Eva Tripp of Norway and South Paris; grandfather, Lawrence Sessions of Maine and New Hampshire; and grandparents, Robert W. Thomas and Ruth Lois Hill of Otisfield.
