Constance Belaire
1942 – 2009

LEWISTON — Constance Belaire, 67, of Auburn and Long Boat Key, Fla., passed away on Nov. 9 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston in 1942, the loving daughter of Adrien and Julie (Gravel) Caron. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1960 and from Westbrook Junior College.

She married Richard Belaire of Lewiston on Aug. 31, 1963. She worked for many years with her husband in the family business, Champion Glass, and later for the Child Health Center and as a volunteer coordinator for Seniors Plus. She was on the board of directors for St. Martin de Porres.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; two sons, Thomas of Portland and David of Old Orchard Beach; a much loved granddaughter, Samantha; one sister, Doris Fitts of Santa Monica, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Helen Baumer and her husband, Herman, of Lisbon Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff in ICU at St. Mary’s Hospital for their compassionate care.

BELAIRE — Constance died Nov. 9. Visitations at Fortin/Auburn on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Committal at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Martin de Porres Residence, P.O. Box 7227, Lewiston, ME 04240-7227.
