Agnes Kaschub Moore
1911 – 2009

AUBURN – Agnes Kaschub Moore, 97, of Schooner Estates, 200 Stetson Road, Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Hospice House in Auburn.

Born in Springfield, Mass., on Nov. 16, 1911, she was the daughter of Robert W. and Annie M. Cooper. She graduated from Springfield High School and Chelsea Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She married Robert W. Kaschub, MD, on June 27, 1936. Dr. Kaschub passed away in 1977.

Agnes and her family lived in Gorham, N.H. for many years, where she was very active in the community. She was a member of the Alpine Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, the Ideal Rebekah Lodge, the Gorham Congregational Church, the White Mountain League of the Congregational Church and the Gorham Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Congregational Church choir and was the director of the children’s choir at that church.

She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. After moving to Pembroke, N.H., Agnes was also very active in that community. She became a member of the Pembroke Congregational Church and was a member of the Havenwood-Heritage Heights Auxiliary in Concord, N.H., where she volunteered for 15 years. Agnes married Lloyd O. Moore on July 7, 1981 and they traveled to Florida every winter where she continued to volunteer for several organizations. When Lloyd passed away in 1988, Agnes made her permanent home in Florida, until she moved to Schooner Estates in Auburn in 2003.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Anne K. Dumont and her husband, Louis of Auburn; her son, William J. Kaschub and his wife, Mary Ellen of Los Gatos, Calif.; and her daughter-in-law, Mary C. Kaschub of St. Augustine, Fla. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Ferguson of Sandy, Utah, Alan Kaschub of Windham, Tulie Kaschub-Baldwin of Roanoke, Va., Jason Dumont of Auburn, Douglas Dumont of Standish, Katie Dumont of Lewiston, Diana Winalski of New Canaan, Conn., Kristen Kaschub of Hampton Bays, N.Y. and Cynthia Kaschub of Portland, Oregon. She is also leaves nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a stepsister, Helen Larson of Atlanta, Ga., three step-children, Emerson Moore of Florida, Nancy Bonney of Massachusetts and Eleanor Crabtree of Massachusetts; and a niece and a nephew. She leaves many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert W. Kaschub, Sr., MD, her son, Robert W. Kaschub, Jr., MD, a daughter, Johanna, her mother and father, her brother, Robert W. Cooper, Jr. and her second husband, Lloyd O. Moore.
