Coats for kids

LEWISTON — Coats for Kids donation boxes will be located in select Northeast
Bank branches throughout November. Donations may
also be dropped off at any of the Oxford Networks locations in
Lewiston, Bangor and Norway.

The businesses have a goal of raising 500 coats for kids to give to the WCSH6, WLBZ2, Salvation Army annual campaign. 

Donation boxes are located at the Lewiston Northeast Bank branches,
882 Lisbon St., 783-5568; and 500 Canal St., 786-3245; and at the Auburn branch, 232 Center St., 783-5632.

Cribbage winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 19 were: first: Lorraine Fillion and Dick Dennis; second, Bob Leclair and Roger Patry; third, Roger Briggs and Bert Belanger; fourth, Monique Nadeau and Marty Boyd; fifth, Clara Mennealy and John Violette.

Ed Madden was welcomed to the league. There will be no game on Thursday, Nov. 26. The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3. For further information, call Roger Labbe at 212-9253.

Bellydancing

LEWISTON — Professional
bellydancer instructor Lisa Cummings will hold bellydancing classes at the SeniorsPlus
Education Center, 8 Falcon Road, from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Dec.
2 to 30. The cost is $40.

Bellydancing is a dance movement that focuses on core stomach muscles
while listening to Middle Eastern rhythms. Participants will learn traditional
movements and combinations. It is a small class with movements geared especially for
older adults to strength core stomach muscles, improve balance and
physical awareness.

Christmas fair

POLAND — Excelsior Grange will have a Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at the hall,
Harris Hill Road. A luncheon
will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a choice of fish chowder or baked
beans. 

Class reunion

AUBURN — The Lewiston High School Class of 2004 will hold it’s five-year reunion from 9 to 11 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 27, at Gipper’s Sports Grill.
