Breastfeeding support

AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are invited to the La Leche League meeting to be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are welcome. The discussion will focus on “Breastfeeding: The Mother-Baby Relationship, and the Weaning Process.”

All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion. For breastfeeding help or directions to the meeting, call the La Leche League leader at 782-6645.

MS meeting

LEWISTON — The next MS Support Group and Caregivers meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday,
Dec. 9, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave. It will be a Christmas party with a potluck supper and
Chinese auction. Those who wish to participate should bring a $5 to $10 gift. For more

Blood drive

WINTHROP — St. Francis Xavier will hold a community blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 10, in the parish hall on Route 133. The
drive is open to all donors and all are welcome. To schedule an

required. 

Military network

LEWISTON — The Maine Military and Community Network will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at USM/L-A College, 51 Westminster St., Room 170.

The meeting will discuss how deployment affects communities, including what it feels like to know that one is going to a war zone and how families cope. All are welcome to learn more about
the challenges of service in combat areas or to offer help to military and/or their families.

Snowmobile association

AUBURN —  The Maine Snowmobile Association, Western Regional, will meet
from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Auburn Public Library. The speakers will be Bob Meyers, executive director MSA; Scott Ramsay,
Parks and Land Snowmobile Division; Maurice Marden, Trails Committee
chairman; and Cap Campbell, Western Region vice president.

The meeting is sponsored by Mary
Tassinari, regional MSA director. The meeting is an opportunity for clubs to obtain information on snowmobile issues.
