Rabbi Hillel Katzir of Temple Shalom in Auburn lights the Menorah
marking the beginning of Hanukkah, which started at sundown on Friday.
Hanukkah is celebrated as a  military victory by a small group of Jews
in the 2nd century. Rabbi Katzir said the miracle of Hanukkah was the
defeat of the Greeks and a one-day oil supply lasting for eight days,
keeping the Menorah in the Temple lit.
