Between 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, Lewiston police responded to 578 calls for service. Of those calls, 140 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

A vacant apartment at 297 Bates St. was recently broken into and heavily vandalized with writing on the walls, holes in the plaster and smoke detectors broken.

The gates of the Southern Gateway parking garage at 425 Lisbon St. were broken overnight Dec. 6 – Dec. 7.

An apartment at 142.5 Oxford St. had its entry door kicked in on Dec. 4 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.; nothing was taken.

Theft

A customer of Caswell’s at 675 Main St. had her purse stolen from her grocery carriage on Dec. 7 at 1:40 p.m. The suspect was a male who left in a blue pickup truck.

Motor vehicle burglary

A vehicle parked at 10 Tall Pines Drive was burglarized overnight Dec. 7 – Dec. 8. The Jeep’s convertible top was cut to gain entry; CDs were taken.

A vehicle parked at 955 Sabattus St. was burglarized between 6:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 8; property was taken.

A vehicle parked at Rooper’s at 794 Sabattus St. had a purse stolen from it Dec. 8 at 8:30 a.m.

A vehicle parked at 13 Johnson St. was burglarized overnight Dec. 4 – Dec. 5; property was taken.

A vehicle parked at 78 Howard St. had windows broken and money taken from inside sometime overnight Dec. 4 – Dec. 5.

Burglaries

A self-storage unit at Sabattus Street Self Storage at 1434 Sabattus St. was burglarized and a dining room set was taken sometime prior to noon on Dec. 9.

An apartment at 131 Horton St. was burglarized prior to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 8; property was taken.

An apartment at 297 Bates St. was burglarized on Dec. 8 prior to 11:30 a.m.; an entry door was kicked in to gain entry, and property was taken.

An apartment at 194 Bates St. was burglarized between Nov. 3 and Dec. 7 while the tenant was out of town. Numerous video games, some prescription  medications, an albino king snake and a southwestern hog nose snake were taken.

An apartment at 391 Lisbon St. was burglarized prior to noon on Dec. 6; entry was gained through an unlocked window. Cash, a Sony VCR, two digital cameras and some jewelry were taken.

Aggravated assault

Kristopher Pulk, 25, was charged with aggravated assault on Dec. 4 at 11:23 p.m. at 141.5 Pierce St. after a male subject was beaten into unconsciousness and then kicked in the head several times after he was on the ground.

Operating under the influence

Tammy Nicholson, 44, was charged with operating under the influence on Dec. 6 at Sabattus and Laurier streets.

Michael Camire, 28, was charged with operating under the influence on Dec. 7 at 5:07 p.m. at the corner of Lisbon Street and Webber Avenue after a citizen’s complaint of dangerous operation.

Devin Cloutier, 21, was charged with operating under the influence on Dec. 11 at 740 Sabattus St.

Operating after suspension

Heidi Thomas, 32, was charged with being a habitual motor vehicle offender on Dec. 7 at 172 Bates St. 

Ryan Thompson, 20, was charged with operating while license suspended and attaching false plates on Dec. 4 at 7:30 a.m. at 110 Bartlett St.

Wanted

Danielle Roberts, 24, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for assault.

Alfred Kelly, 28, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for aggravated assault.

Jeremy Poole, 21, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for operating after suspension.
