AUBURN — The City of Auburn Community Service Team is working with local agencies to try to make a special Christmas for area seniors who may not otherwise receive a gift.

The team fundraises throughout the year for projects that give back to the citizens of Auburn who may be in need of a hand. Not only is it an opportunity for employees to contribute and give back, it is also an opportunity for citizens to contribute and lend a hand to their neighbor.

Those who wish to help the Community Service Team give a wrapped gift to an Auburn senior may stop by Auburn Hall and pick a tag on the giving tree. On the tag will be a number along with what the individual is asking for Christmas.

After choosing a tag, people are asked to sign the form next to the tree beside the number that is on the tag. The numbers will identify who receives what gift so tags need to be included on the gift when it is brought back to Auburn Hall.

In order to deliver the gifts in time for Christmas, all wrapped presents need to brought back to Auburn Hall by Friday, Dec. 18. On Monday, Dec. 21, employees will deliver the gifts.
