BETHEL — Using a 13-6 third-quarter run to
take control, Jay rallied back from a five-point deficit to notch a
36-34 victory in another MVC boy’s tilt Wednesday.

The Tigers (3-1) were led by Austin Clark with 14 points, while Jordan DeMillo added five. 

Dan Vaughn paced the Rebels (2-3) with 14 points, the only player to reach double figures.

 Mountain Valley 81, Mt. Abram 47

SALEM — After jumping out to a 25-12 advantage in the first quarter,
Mountain Valley ran off to a 81-47 victory over Mt. Abram in MVC boy’s
basketball action Wednesday.

The Falcons (5-0) were led by Jacob Arsenault with 15 points, while
Izaak Mills tallied 11 and Cameron Kaubris added 10. Mountain Valley
built a 20 point lead by halftime and was never challenged.

Jim Barker led the Roadrunners (0-5) with 16 points, while Tyler Hupper lit the boards with 10.  

Hebron 62, Kents Hill 53
HEBRON — Jean Baptiste led a group of four players in double figures as
Hebron hustled to a 62-53 victory over Kents Hill in a Prep School
boy’s basketball matchup Wednesday. 

Kents Hill led by three at halftime before Hebron rallied back. Baptiste finished with 17 points, while Jahizz Rawlins contributed with 12. Mason Lopez and Clebert Marcelin chipped in with 10 points apiece in a well-balanced attack. 

O’Shea Bell led Kents Hill with a game-high 22 points, while Roy Eastman chipped in with 15. 

Traip 85, Gould 31
BETHEL — Nathan Westman led a trio of players in double figures as Traip cruised to a 85-31 rout over Gould in another Prep School boy’s basketball tilt.

Westman finished with 19 points, while Reilly Sheahan and Brian Goda each hit for 13. Traip (4-1) was hot right from the tipoff, taking a commanding 32-11 advantage in the first frame.

Gould (2-2) was paced by Taylor Peck-Moad with a solid 17-point performance.  

Boys’ hockey

 Edward Little 11, Windham/Sacopee Valley 1

NORTH BRIDGTON —  Senior Mat Gordon scored four goals, freshman Drew
Lupardo and junior Cody Russell each turned in hat tricks and sophomore
Jared Pelletier lent a hand with four assists as Edward Little (2-1)
walked all over Windham/Sacopee Valley (0-3) with a lopsided 11-1
victory in a Class A hockey game Wednesday night at Bridgton Academy.

The Red Eddies had the game in hand after two periods when Edward
Little built an 8-1 lead. EL also binged with eye-opening 60 shots in
net. Adam Lebrun also added a goal on a Tori Couture assist.

For Windham/Sacopee, Danny Steward scored in the first period. EL goalie Alan Nelson faced 18 shots on net.
