LEWISTON – After cutting the deficit to just five points, Lewiston let one slip away Thursday evening as Brunswick held on for a 50-40 victory in a KVAC boys’ basketball tilt played Thursday.
Jesse Holland led the Dragons (5-0) with 14 points, while Stephen Carter tallied 13 and Rashon Edgerton added 10.
The Blue Devils (1-4) were paced by Corbin Hyde and Trey Ouellette with six points each, while Steven Patrie added four.
Poland 59, Old Orchard Beach 52
POLAND -With a slim 26-24 lead at halftime, Poland used a 20-16 third-quarter run to pull away from Old Orchard Beach and record a 59-52 victory.
The Knights (1-4) were paced by Kyle MacVane with 19 points, while Jake Littlefield chipped in with 11.
Brandon Ouellette led the Seagulls (3-2) with a solid 16-point performance, while John Regis added 10.
