RUMFORD — A weekend party that was apparently nearly 12 hours long resulted in five arrests, including one person on charges of domestic assault and criminal threatening.

Rumford Police Department Sgt. James Bernard said the incident began at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at 18 Erchles St. when William Conley, 41, occupant of the home, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and criminal threatening with a firearm against an 18-year-old man.

Five officers from Rumford and Mexico responded. Police confiscated two shotguns.

Conley was taken to the Oxford County jail where he remains on $3,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Feb. 2.

Later that day, at 8:50 p.m., someone reported an erratic driver who nearly hit a pedestrian in front of the Erchles Street residence.

Melinda Blodgett, 26, also of 18 Erchles St., was arrested on charges of operating under the influence, driving to endanger, and operating without a license. She was taken to the Oxford County Jail where she remains on $400 cash bail

At the same time, Marcy Duguay, 46, also of 18 Erchles St., was arrested on a charge of hindering apprehension when police arrested Blodgett. Duguay was released from the Rumford Police Department on $400 unsecured bail.

At about 9 p.m., Carl Locke, 21, of Shibles Road, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at the Erchles Street residence. He was taken to the Oxford County Jail where he remains on $1,000 cash bail.

Blodgett, Duguay and Locke are all scheduled to appear in court on Rumford District Court on Feb. 2.

At 5:20 a.m. Monday, Scott Pike, 26, of College Street, Lewiston, who also attended the gathering, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and breaking probation rules. He was taken to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 2. Bail won’t be set until a probation violation hearing is held.
