Frank Learned Campbell
1930 – 2009
NORTH WOODSTOCK — Frank Learned Campbell, 79, passed away at home in North Woodstock on Dec. 21.
He was born in Andover, Dec. 17, 1930, the son of Arlow Campbell and Addie Learned Campbell.
He attended school in South Paris, and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. After military service, he worked locally in manufacturing.
He enjoyed retirement and the Portland Sea Dogs. His favorite past time was the Boston Red Sox, and seeing them win a World Series in his life time. Walking his boxer dogs, golf, family and friends was another love of his life
He married Christine Knights on Nov. 27, 1954, celebrating 55 years of marriage, this year.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Campbell of North Woodstock; daughters, Shari Burnham of Hanover, Terri and her husband, Rick Angevine, of Bethel, Bitty and her husband, Stephen Ross, of South Paris and Judi and her husband, Deven Andrews, of Greenwood; one son, Jeffrey and his wife, Deborah Campbell, of South Woodstock; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
