WILTON — A hundred holiday baskets were assembled Tuesday night by members of the United Bikers of Maine, Franklin Chapter, volunteers and Western Maine Community Action’s Operation Santa Claus staff.

The bikers raise the funds and buy the food for the baskets, which are filled with turkeys and all the trimmings, homemade rolls and pies, said county director Tim Fournier of Livermore Falls. This is the third year the group has provided the food baskets and it largest goal, he said.

WMCA staff collected names of families to receive the baskets with some being delivered and some picked up at the WMCA Service Center in East Wilton, said Cindy Brophy from WMCA.
