AUBURN — Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for its March production of “A Grand Night for Singing” at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 4-5, at the Great Falls Arts Center.

With music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, the show features such beloved classics as “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “I Can’t Say No,” “Maria,” “If I Loved
You, “Some Enchanted Evening” and “Impossible/I Have Dreamed.” (The complete

The show will be directed by David Lock, with musical direction by Paul G. Caron and choreography by Mariah Perry.

Roles include Martin, leading man, baritone; Lynne, leading lady, soprano; Victoria, comic ingénue, second soprano; Jason, comic juvenile, tenor; and Alyson, soubrette, alto, dancer.

Those auditioning should come prepared with one song selection; ballads are preferred. Singing from the show is preferred, but not mandatory. Auditioners may also be asked to sing additional numbers from the show. Auditions will include a dance component, so wear appropriate attire.

“A Grand Night For Singing” will be presented on March 12-13-14 and 18-19-20-21.
