RUMFORD — Anyone ages12 and older who wants an H1N1 flu shot can get one at the Western Maine Community Action Health Services offices in Rumford, Farmington, Norway and Lewiston.

Maggie Cook, a client services representative with WMCA, said the shots or nasal spray cost $10, except for MaineCare patients who may obtain the shots at no cost. Insurance companies will not be billed.

Clients of WMCA have been able to receive the vaccine for the past few weeks, but now, plenty is available for everyone,  Cook said.

Several walk-ins turned out Wednesday, the first day of the Rumford clinic.

“People have been very happy,” Cook said.

Although walk-ins are accepted, it is best to call ahead just to be sure the administrator of the vaccine is available.
