LEWISTON — Kate Stoodley and Noah Chittim of San Francisco, Calif., are quite pleased to announce their engagement to be married next Labor Day weekend on Westport Island.

Miss Stoodley graduated from Wiscasset High School and St. Michael’s College, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is currently an advertising manager at Entrepreneur Magazine. She is the only daughter of Ron and Leslie Stoodley of Westport.

Mr. Chittim is a 1999 graduate of Lewiston High School and is studying at City College of San Francisco, while working full time at Betelnut, a contemporary Asian restaurant in the city. He is the elder son of David Chittim and Penny Jessop of Lewiston.

The couple met six years ago in Portland as she served the lobsters he killed at DiMillo’s Floating Restaurant.
